Full Professor, Civil Evidence and Procedure, Complex Litigation, Comparative Law and International Private Law

Member of the Québec and New York bars, Professor Catherine Piché practiced commercial litigation for over six years in national law firms in New York and Montréal, notably in the area of class actions and complex litigation. Professor Piché is the author of numerous articles in the fields of procedural law and of civil evidence and procedure. Several of her articles deal with class actions and, more particularly, with issues concerning authorization criteria, the relations between various judicial actors, underlying ethical issues, the judge’s role, and out-of-court transactions. She has also given lectures on these subjects upon invitation from judges, professors and practitioners, both in Canada and elsewhere in the world.
