For close to 50 years, the Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Law Legal Clinic has been a site for trailblazing, dynamic learning that gives back to the community.
Supervised by a team of seasoned lawyers, Legal Clinic students offer a free legal information service to the public, including members of the university community.
The mission of the Clinic’s activities is to familiarize students with the legal profession. At the same time, they respond to the real, critical concern of offering the public a better understanding of their rights and obligations and, in turn, better access to justice.
Consultations can cover a range of areas:
- labour relations
- the consequences of a separation or a divorce (e.g.: custody, estates, alimony, etc.),
- consumer protection
- civil liability
- and more...
