Support for victims of crime
The Clinic offers free legal information services for victims of any type of crime, their loved ones, witnesses to such crimes, and anyone else affected by the crime, regardless of whether it has been reported to the authorities or whether the perpetrator has been identified.
Services are provided by law students, in cooperation with criminology students, under the supervision of experts, to combine a range of strengths and knowledge to benefit victims and offer them interdisciplinary support that meets their needs.
The legal information provided can include how the criminal justice system operates, victims’ rights and recourses, and how to advocate for them with relevant organizations and individuals. As needed, victims of a crime may be referred to other useful resources.
