For more than 25 years, Éditions Thémis has proudly contributed to raising the visibility of the Faculty of Law’s reputation both nationally and internationally. To do so, Thémis is continuously committed to publishing and promoting the latest projects undertaken by our professors and researchers in all major areas of law. This publisher has the role of “middle man”, facilitating the flow of information between those in the university milieu and those in the larger legal community.

Since the beginning, Éditions Thémis has been Jointly managed by professors and students. It is an integral part of the Faculty and is thus associated with its educational activities. This collaboration is what enables the publishing house to offers students the possibility of participating in the editing of manuscripts or writing research papers that may be published as articles in the law review.

In addition to the 85 titles currently available, covering all areas of law, Éditions Thémis also publishes la Revue juridique Thémis de l’Université de Montréal. Founded in 1951 by Faculty students, this law review is read all across North America, Europe and the world. It was the first university law review in Quebec. Today, la Revue juridique Thémis de l’Université de Montréal is published three times a year and features writing by professors, students and law professionals practicing Quebec, Canadian and international law. Over the years, this publication has become a standard for excellence and scientific rigour.
