Governor General of Canada (1974-1979)
Jules Léger began his career as a journalist for the daily newspaper Le Droit in Ottawa. He was the first French Canadian to hold the position of Under Secretary of State for External Affairs (1954-1958). He was also Permanent Representative of Canada to NATO.
