Working independently since 2006, Marc Lalonde was previously a partner in the law firm, Stikeman Elliott, where he specialized in commercial arbitration on an international scale. Between 1968-1984, he was Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau, Minister of National Health and Welfare, Minister of State (Federal-Provincial Relations), Minister of Justice, Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources and Minister of Finance. Marc Lalonde continues to play an active role in many Canadian and international organizations.
