You may specifically choose the fund or project to which you would most like to contribute. Additionally, you may also create a project in your name, which will perpetuate the memory of your contribution to the Faculty, as well as reinforce your connection with the Faculty and its students. The following is a list of major projects that the Faculty of Law would like you to contribute to or get involved in.
Louise Arbour Scholarship Fund
Created by the Faculty of Law and Louise Arbour, a highly distinguished Faculty graduate who has distinguished herself in the judiciary and in the development of human rights, the Louise Arbour Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to top students who require financial assistance and who wish to complete a portion of their studies overseas.
The Fund will offer:
- Recruitment scholarships at all levels of study for Quebec, Canadian or international candidates who have an excellent student record and who demonstrate great engagement and leadership. This scholarship enables students to focus entirely on their studies.
- International mobility scholarships to broaden the horizons of students through an exchange program, summer school session or international internship.

Law Library
The library, an essential tool for legal research and the teaching of law, is an indispensable resource for the hundreds of students, legal professionals and researchers who use it. This project has two goals: first, to enrich existing collections by ensuring that they address the needs of users and second, to modernize infrastructures.
Chair in Natural Resources and Governance
This research project directly tackles a domain in which the absence of adapted legal standards may be an obstacle to economic and sustainable development, and could consequently lead to the appearance of practices or norms that are outside the collective’s reach. The Chair’s challenge is to propose innovative legal solutions and regulation models that address the intricacies of sustainably exploiting natural resources, that foster advanced and dynamic, yet practical training, and that result in research projects that grasp the roles of natural resources and of the main leaders in the social development sector.
