Biography
Diane Labrèche is a full professor at the Faculty of Law, where she has been teaching criminal law since 1977. An acknowledged expert in the teaching of law and the recipient of numerous awards, Professor Labrèche has extensive experience in the area of professional development. She was seconded to the National Judicial Institute from 2000-2003. Her extensive experience was leveraged to assist aspiring lawyers and instructors at the École du Barreau du Québec, where she, along with Jean-François Gaudreault-DesBiens, developed educational material on the practice of law in its social context. Their collaboration led to the publication of a book entitled, Le contexte social du droit dans le Québec contemporain - L'intelligence culturelle dans la pratique des juristes (Éditions Yvon Blais, 2009).
