Professor Pierre Trudel was the research director of the Federal Task Force on Broadcasting (1985–1988) and director of Université de Montréal’s Public Law Research Centre (1990–1995). He has been visiting professor at universities Laval, Paris 2 and Namur. Between 1995 and 2000, he taught at the universities of Bénin, Guinée and Mali as part of the cooperative Media Policy and Democracy Project. Professor Trudel is the author of several books and articles on media law as well as on Internet and information technology law, including the first treatise on radio and television law and cyberspace law. In 2012, he published Introduction à la Loi concernant le cadre juridique des technologies de l’Information [Introduction to the Act to establish a legal framework for information technology].
