Are you a law student eager to explore North American law in a dynamic, multicultural setting? The Faculty of Law is excited to invite students from around the globe to join the 13th edition of its Summer School.
Over two weeks, you’ll dive into key aspects of the Canadian judicial system, guided by leading scholars and experts. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to visit major legal and political institutions across Quebec and Canada.
Your journey begins in Montreal, where you’ll experience the festive atmosphere of Canada Day celebrations on July 1st. From July 2nd to July 15th, you’ll engage in ten days of intensive academic learning. Evenings and weekends will be free, giving you plenty of time to explore the vibrant, culturally diverse city of Montreal and its stunning surroundings!

Academic requirements
Student must have completed at least one-year of studies in a law program outside of Canada.
A transcript showing registration in a law program will be required.
Language requirements
As English is the language of instruction, students who are not currently attending an English-language institution are expected to demonstrate that they have a sufficient knowledge of English prior to the program. This can be done by providing a transcript demonstrating previous courses followed in English, a language certificate from the home university, or results of an internationally recognized test.
- Certificate demonstrating level B2 of the Common European Framework (CEFR)
- IELTS: minimum score of 6.5 in all categories
- TOEFL: 90 overall
Evaluation
There will be 2 exams, in the form of quizzes. The grading scale used is Pass/Fail. Participants will receive a certificate during the closing ceremony.

Accommodation is not included; however, we have secured special rates at two nearby establishments from July 1st to 16th, 2025. Alternatively, you are welcome to choose any other accommodation that suits your preferences and budget.

- Double occupancy: $179 CAD per night (plus taxes)

Rooms are available on a first come first serve basis and must be booked individually by each student. We will provide you with the code to benefit from the advantageous rate upon reception of the payment of the deposit.

Should you need a visa to come to Canada, we recommend that you apply as soon as possible in order to fulfill all the administrative requirements.
