Fabrice Vil, LL. B. 2006
A source of inspiration for young people who aspire to change the world
Recipient of the Lawyer of the Year award in the pro-bono/social involvement category from the Young Bar Association of Montreal, and the Relève Brébeuf award, Fabrice is a source of inspiration for young people who aspire to change the world. A graduate from the Faculty of Law at the Université de Montréal in 2006, Vill has always been actively involved in causes dear to his heart. Following a few years in private practice, he decided to give back to the community by becoming a full-time social entrepreneur. He jumped into the adventure and founded Pour 3 points, an organization dedicated to fostering student retention through sports in schools from disadvantaged neighbourhoods in Montreal. A basketball enthusiast, Fabrice hopes to see young people benefit from the positive influence of a coach and develop the skills they need to succeed in their life projects. In addition, Pour 3 points offers a mentoring and homework assistance program. Today, more than thirty individuals support Fabrice ins this wonderful adventure rallying more than 350 teens aged 12-17 from seven schools in the neighbourhoods of Saint-Henri, Saint-Michel, Anjou, Lachine, and Mercier-Est. Without doubt, Fabrice Vill sets himself apart by his generosity, his concern for the well-being of his community, and his commitment to training the next generation. Bravo!
